After tons of research looking for the perfect productivity monitor for my PC, I picked this up a while back, and it's great! 😃👍 Not only is it a great monitor, but it's an absolutely beautiful TV 🔥

Are the "C" series really worth $400-$500 more than an "A" series? Just curious because I got my 48 inch "A" series for $469 a few years ago at BB and it still looks amazing.

Brightness is going to be the biggest difference in my opinion. If you are in a dark room an A or B series might be fine. There are other differences in processing and motion smoothing that you might like too. I have a 65" C in my living room which gets a lot of indirect sunlight. I find it performs well there. The B in my office where the blinds are drawn performs fine there and I don't notice any difficulties there.

Was this the C5's tandem OLED size people are raving about?

I'm sure the display is gorgeous but 48"? My Picture in Picture is larger than this.

the 42" and 48" are quite popular as PC monitors. I personally use a 42" C3 Evo and it's great for single player games & movies/shows.

I think that's the C6 just going off memory. It was a rabbit hole I went down last week.

That is only for C6. This is going to be your standard WOLED.

Is it still holding up well? I have a C3 as well and dead pixels have started to pop up over the years

Dead pixels ??? The C3 came out in 2023, ...... that's the reason I haven't jumped on the OLED bandwagon. I can almost see myself dropping $3K and the TV lasting less than 3 years.

Yeah mine is still holding up well, though I maybe use it 1-2 hours a day. I turned off the auto dimming but let it do its pixel shifting. I also set a black screensaver after 5mins and auto hide the taskbar / hide icons. No dead pixels or burn in yet. To be honest though, I'll probably go with a 32" 4k next time as I find the 42 a little too large for my liking and it doesn't turn on/off with my PC as reliably as I'd like with the LGTV Companion software.

This depends on where your TV is, and on your personal preference.

In a dark room your A series looks magnificent. If you're used to that, the C series will look absolutely overwhelmingly bright. In a room that's mildly bright your A series looks great, but compared to a C your A will definitely look dull. In a very bright room your A series looks dull, and a C will look amazing.

I had an A1 in my mildly bright living room for 2 years, then upgraded to a B2, then recently to a C5. The upgrade to the C5 took some getting used to because it was such a difference in brightness. I've had many guests comment that my TV is too bright. In my experience, most folks eyes are not used to the amount of brightness and vividness that the C5 carries.

My subjective opinion: The additional cost of the C series is 100% worth the cost difference.

I went from 42" monitor, to 48" C4, 55" C5, 55" S90F, and now 55" G5 as my primary desk monitor and love it. The C4 and C5 both had terrible HDMI handshake issues with my Macbook Pro, but no issues with the Samsung S90F and LG G5.
