great polarized shades for the price. Once you realize the scam of designer shades, the smarter you will start getting these instead.

Have 3 pairs of Bircen and the lenses are better quality and seem to stay cleaner than other glasses I have. They are the ones I go for

I hear you, but try actual good quality sunglasses. I'm so over these cheap styles after running through about a dozen pairs over the years.

They all break in some way or another or have some massive flaw about them.

All these extreme budget brands cut massive corners in one way or another and it manifests in a variety of different ways.

I'm aware of the glasses mafia that exists and how they engage in obscene price gouging, but certain mainstream name brands just have such better quality about them…whether that be in thoughtful design or more robust components.

I mean it's all a trap, and a personal preference. Luxotica and all their brands probably own 3/4 of the higher than $40 a pair market. So if you're buying "fancy" chances are you're buying Luxotica.

Is this better than my $400 Raybans (that I got for ~$100) - highly doubtful. But I would use glasses like these where things can get dropped/hit/stepped on/lost/etc. Because at $12 - meh. They're good enough.

I use my Bircens to run in, and they're perfect. I would never run in ray bans. I will say, of all the Luxottica brands, I've been most impressed with Ray-Ban's quality. My wayfarers have lasted a real long time.

Over the years I've bought over 10 Bircen sunglasses. The last 2 I recently bought definitely feel cheaper. For $12 still fine but they are not as good as they used to be. Also used to cover with a nice hard cover case I haven't got that is a few years.
