The Ninja Creami Deluxe is a strong fit for high protein, low sugar, and lower calorie ice cream, sorbet, and protein shake desserts, with plenty of room for flavor tweaks and mix ins. It can turn out very good results fast once the pint is frozen, and the refurb units often arrive looking nearly new in original packaging. The big tradeoffs are noise, which is closer to a blender at full blast, and the need for careful prep and a flat freeze. A few reports also flag blade, paddle, leak, and durability issues, so the refurb savings matter most if you are comfortable with some risk.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. It is commonly used for low-sugar, high-protein, and lower-calorie ice cream, including protein-shake-based recipes, with some pints coming in around 190-350 calories depending on ingredients.

  • It is very loud, roughly like a blender on max or louder, and can hit an especially noticeable pitch during parts of the spin cycle. It still finishes the job quickly, usually in about 2-4 minutes.

  • Yes. The pint needs to freeze on a flat surface, and uneven freezing can cause the top to form a hump or make the machine struggle; some users freeze it uncovered for the first few hours or level the top before spinning.

  • Buying 5-10 extra pints makes it easier to batch-prep and keep multiple flavors ready in the freezer. Frozen pints can still taste fresh months later, which makes the machine more convenient for quick servings.

  • It often arrives looking basically brand new, sometimes even in original packaging. Several buyers said their refurb units had no visible issues and felt like a strong value for the price.

I guess I'll be the only person ITT who didn't like this. Blade popped off on second use despite the stuff being frozen following the manual's specifications. If it doesn't freeze completely flat you have to thaw and then refreeze. Consistency was good the one time it worked but the machine is too temperamental imo.
I won't buy it because I don't want all the extra work and then wait 24 hours to blend it into "ice cream". I have a machine that has a compressor. I toss the ingredients in when I want ice cream. It mixes, it freezes, it beeps for me to add mix-ins, and it beeps when it's done. 30 minutes after I want ice cream, I have ice cream. I am not hating on Ninja. I have the Crispi (refurb from Woot) and I love it, use it almost every day Smilie

I purchased a refurb and it stopped working in 10 uses. Woot and ninja both said oh well.
Woot is Amazon - they are better than what you have described.

Amazing price for a really good machine. Low calorie high protein ice cream saved my diet. Be careful not to put the pint cups in the bottom rack of the dishwasher, all of ours warped.

Greatest machine ever. I purchased one from woot last year, and it died on day 93 (return window is 90days). Purchased from Costco this time, worth the extra $ imo for return policy. 1cup half-n-half. 1cup decaf cold brew coffee. 1 scoop protein powder. 1tbsp collagen. Enjoy!

Smh just buy 5-10 extra cups. Thats what I did. Premade all of them and have it in the freezer when I want an ice cream. Even 3 months in the freezer and they still taste like it was made yesterday.

So what you're really saying is that you used it 10 times and the 10th time was after the warranty was expired. So of course Woot said oh well. And it doesn't come with Ninja warranty, so of course Ninja said oh well.

Idk, I have personally had issues with mine that was brand new and know others who have, I am thankful I got mine from Costco and was able to get a replacement easily.

how much noise does this make? i live in an apt with neighbors to the right & left. TY!
It's not as loud as a blender on max. Its much louder!
Seriously this thing is annoyingly loud and also on certain settings/times of the spin cycle it hits a pitch that is hard to ignore.
I love my creami and got it nearly a year ago on the refurb sale and am so glad I did. Totally worth it. But the sound level is definitely something I wish I was aware of in advance.

$100 would buy a lot of premade ice cream, this device looks like it will gather more dust than use.
