This Compact CMCD714 drill just came out recently, so there's not a lot of reviews yet.

In general: Craftsman is fine for Joe Homeowner. DeWalt costs more, has much larger lineup of tools and batteries and much of it's products are aimed at the pros.

They're both made by Stanley Black & Decker. So when you open up 'certain' tools, they can have the same guts inside.
