The UDPOWER C600 is a compact 596Wh LiFePO4 power station that stands out for portability, solid build quality, and useful everyday backup power. It has handled a full size refrigerator test, a wet dry vacuum, small electronics, and even a power hungry laptop, while solar charging works through the DC7909 port with compatible panels. The main drawback is slow wall charging, since the AC brick is only about 90 to 120W and a full recharge can take around 5 to 6 hours. It is also not a fast transfer UPS, and the shallow 12V port may not hold some fridge plugs securely, making it a practical backup for lighter loads.

Common Questions (5)

  • It can handle small electronics, laptops, fans, a wet/dry vacuum, and even a full-size refrigerator for short test runs. Runtime depends heavily on load: a 35-50W box fan can last much longer than a 100W draw, while a 20W fan load could approach a day when you account for inverter losses.

  • No, the C600 is not designed for fast-transfer UPS use and UDPOWER says the C400/C600 are not UPS viable. For sensitive gear that needs sub-10ms switching, the S1200 is the model to look at instead.

  • Expect about 5 to 6 hours for a full AC recharge because the bundled wall adapter is only around 90W to 120W. The C600 can accept up to 240W on its DC input, so faster charging is possible with a higher-output DC source or solar setup.

  • Yes, but the connector matters: the unit uses a DC7909-style round input, while many rigid panels use MC4, so an adapter may be needed. Users have charged it with 210W and 240W portable solar panels through that round port.

  • The 12V car outlet is shallow and may not hold some fridge plugs securely, so it is better suited to lighter 12V-to-USB style charging than a 12V mini-fridge. The unit is also described as lightweight and easy to carry, which helps for portable use.

Been thinking of buying one of these to keep around for blackouts so it can run my box fan and help me sleep.

Does anyone know if this would power a box fan for 8 hours?

Website says 10ms switchover for ups
That's incorrect - just for the 1200 model:

"The C600 is not designed as a fast-transfer UPS. If you need sub-10ms switching for sensitive gear, consider S1200 [udpwr.com] with dedicated UPS functionality."

I would think it would, no power station is100% efficient but some reviews insinuate it's actually pretty good efficiency for its class, a.k.a. 85%+

I'd guess as much as 10 hours top end on a 50W draw.

Looks like 120, no 240 output, which is typical for one of this size.

You won't get 240 output until you're willing to put down at least 2K on a budget unit, a.k.a. a Pecron F5000 or binding together two lower rated units in some model lines (Pecron again, Eco-Worthy, Ecoflow, etc.).

From what I'm reading UDPower has gotten good reviews for an off brand tier; while I'm looking for power stations that can act as a UPS which this unit doesn't do, the deal is so good I may have it sit between the wall and an old school UPS for one of my setups and/or just have it knocking about as another pool of energy in a blackout.

Above is correct on the 240.

I purchased this last time it was posted so I've had mine around a month. Seems to work as expected. I have been trying to stress test it for an up coming camping trip. It has been solid but I only have two cycles on it. Charged once on AC and once over a day and a half in the car. It didn't take a day and a half to charge it took me that long for the trips I was driving.

I bought this one and i like this one because its not too heavy carry around. This is strong enough to power my wet/dry vaccuum and I charge it with my Oupes 240 W solar panel.
how are you charging with your panel? what connectors will it take?

Looks good on paper; not seeing many reviews around to compare to some others like Anker and Jackery, and Ecoflow etc but willl give it a shot for the price and advertised technology.
I ran my full size KitchenAid refrigerator on it for a few mins to test it out, absolutely no issues even when compressor kicking in and out.

This UDPower had DC7909 connector.

Rigid solar panels have MC4 connectors usually.

Portable solar panels may have DC7909 included.

Box fan uses 35-50 watts.
So a $80 288wh, $140 600wh, $250 950wh works if you want 1, 2, 5 days of backup for a fan
