Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition is a cozy life sim about building a boat, helping spirits move on, and soaking in its soundtrack and dialogue. The local co op with a second player as Daffodil adds to the appeal, and the story grows into a touching meditation on loss that can spark meaningful conversations. The boat chores can feel repetitive, the pace is slow, and the Switch version is capped at 30 frames per second. At $3, it lands as a strong value for players who want a story first experience.
Players who want a gentle story game, because it starts cozy and becomes a touching meditation on loss with strong dialogue and soundtrack.
Couples playing on the couch, because local co-op lets a second player join and the game works well with a partner.
Families looking for a conversation starter, because its story can prompt thoughtful talks about losing someone or something important.
Players who want fast, varied progression, because the boat chores can become repetitive and tedious.
Players who want a lighthearted experience throughout, because the story includes very sad plot moments.
Switch players sensitive to frame rate, because it is capped at 30 FPS on this platform.
