Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition is a cozy life sim about building a boat, helping spirits move on, and soaking in its soundtrack and dialogue. The local co op with a second player as Daffodil adds to the appeal, and the story grows into a touching meditation on loss that can spark meaningful conversations. The boat chores can feel repetitive, the pace is slow, and the Switch version is capped at 30 frames per second. At $3, it lands as a strong value for players who want a story first experience.
Local couch co-op lets a second player join as Daffodil the cat.
The story can shift from cozy and slow into a touching meditation on loss.
The game delivers a cozy loop of traveling, building the ship, and helping spirits move on.
The soundtrack and dialogue match the game's tone and enhance the overall experience.
Boat activities can become tedious due to repetitive tasks on the ship.
The Switch version is capped at 30 FPS, which can be a dealbreaker for some players.
The game includes very sad plot moments that may not suit everyone's mood.
The Switch $3 price may feel less compelling compared with common PC pricing around $3-$4 on Steam.

Much better on PC.
Ignore the "moves too slow" or "framerate bad" comments, this game is about the story. I put it in the same camp as Gris and Journey.
