It's cool to see some fellow RC enthusiasts on Slickdeals. I need to take mine out soon and get back into the hobby.

Which ESC do you recommend? The one suggested by Arrma got bad reviews.

I'm running a hobbywing ezrun max10 combo in my vorteks, will likely get that ESC for the granite as well. You'll probably need a mounting plate though (I made one for vorteks)

Is that $99 665 available anywhere?

This is a good deal but no chance it truely retails for that. Maybe close to half that. IMO if someone wants to upgrade to brushless just buy a cheap $50 brushless/esc combo.

I had an RC10 when I was about 10 years old. This was one of my favorite possessions of my entire childhood…along with my Estes rockets! I learned how to ride the bus by myself so I could go the hobby shop to get parts for my RC10. I still have everything in the boxes (including the radio, charger, etc) in my parents's garage somewhere.

Out of stock. I know the add to cart button looks lit, but once you select a color, they are all OOS. Arrma-rc.com, horizon hobby, tower hobbies, all the same entity.

Sounds like me. Dad made me pay for half of it myself - about half of that was a ziplock bag full of quarters and half-dollars! LOL And don't get me started on Estes rockets. I still have unopened kits from the last time I posted a deal on them here a few years back, and have made countless home-made builds. Finding something suitable for a nose cone was always the challenge. Good times.
