Great Clips coupons can trim the cost of a basic haircut, especially when the local shop honors them and the timing lines up with a needed cut. The deal has shown up as targeted gift card offers, with some locations running different promos like 50 percent off or $8.99 off $18, and the coupon code can carry an expiration date around two weeks out. Local pricing varies a lot, with basic cuts reported from $27 to $35 in some areas, and the coupon may not stack with other offers.
Common Questions (5)
No. Some locations have stopped accepting these coupons, and local franchise pricing and promotions can differ a lot by area. Nearby stores may instead run different offers such as $8.99 off $18 or 50% off haircuts.
Yes. Some coupons and promotions appear to be region-specific, with reports of $9.99 coupons only in certain states and different discounts like 50% off in other areas. California was specifically noted as not getting some of the lower-priced offers.
The code can have an expiration date printed on it, such as 06/14/2026. It also appears to be issued with about a two-week use window, or until the final expiration date, whichever comes first.
The post-coupon price depends on the franchise. One reported total was $21 before tips, while another location's basic men's haircut ran $27 to $35, making the coupon less impactful after tipping.
The coupon is marked not valid with any other offer, so stacking is not guaranteed. A remaining gift card balance can still be used toward the haircut, with the rest paid separately, and the store appears to set the haircut price before running the card.

From Thanksgiving through New Year's, you can buy discounted haircuts, which are then loaded onto a card. The discounted price per haircut last year was $14.99, and I got 10. I also have 4 remaining on another card at the pre-COVID price of $10.99 per haircut. I normally buy 24 haircuts each time.
When I received my haircut today, it was by someone new and more dominant. She was always like, "Look down! Watch your feet when I turn your chair! Okay, I was going to cut the hair on the side of your head shorter, that is why I said I was going to use this length tooth on the trimmer! etc." From the haircut, I learned she wanted to be in law enforcement, did haircutting on the side, and was working as TSA (yes, she was caught up when they did not pay TSA workers).
I tipped her $4 because I had just gone to the bank to spit a $10 into $5 1s and 1 $5. 20% would have been $3.60 on $18.00. I saved like $5 because of the haircut being $8.99 today. Everything fell into place!
Usually, if I tip, I tend to tip off whatever the haircut price was (even if the haircut price on that day is the discounted price). 20% off $8.99 would have been like $1.798 or $2.
