$426 if you have a free target red card and also you can buy the Nintendo gift cards for a min of 10% off using these warehouse clubs and use those on the store Nintendo site and get 10% off the system with free delivery. Just an FYI

Loving the drop in prices for this console. Nintendo really overstepped on this device, too expensive for too little and games priced in the stratosphere. Nintendo needed a kick in the arse, it's good to see it happening. Still wouldn't buy, key cards are nothing but an insult to the consumer and a boon for Nintendo. Hard pass indeed!

Community Reviews

The Switch 2 is being framed as a solid holiday buy at BJ's, with free shipping on the $429.99 member price and a reported path to even lower effective cost through price matching or discounted gift cards. The deal stands out because a September price hike is expected, and the console is being treated as better value than other handhelds right now. The main knocks are the high base price, expensive games, and frustration with Nintendo's key cards and digital rights approach. Overall, it reads as a timely way to lock in the console before costs climb further.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes. Reported stackable paths include Best Buy price matching, buying discounted Nintendo gift cards from warehouse clubs or Costco, and then purchasing through Nintendo or GameStop for additional savings.

  • A September 1 price hike is mentioned, and the console is expected to stay expensive or rise again rather than drop soon. That makes the current $429.99 BJ's price more attractive if you want to buy before further increases.

  • It can be shipped even though the listing says "InClub only." The restriction appears to be on in-store pickup, not delivery.

  • Yes. The sale price is for active BJ's members signed into their account, and the purchase limit is 1 per member.

The Switch 2 is one of the (if not THE) fastest selling console of all time. The price is also going up in a month or so.

The price of the console is already announced to go UP in September.

As for too expensive...my PS3 from 2006 says "hold my beer."

$50 price hike on Sep 1. Not sure it will stick b/c $500 and no game is nuts. (I have both the 2 and OLED). But if you are thinking ahead for the holidays this may be the be the best deal.
PS3 was $600 with no game 18 years ago, and it didn't just work to reuse your PS2 controllers on that

Buy $500 worth of Nintendo gift cards from Costco for $450 and then buy the deal from Nintendo.com to get the console with a game. Better deal if you want one of the games

The weird misplaced hate for Nintendo is fascinating. Do you have the same hate for Steam? Monopolized the entire PC market, but since 12 year old games can be had for $5 to sit in a backlog...

I am most certainly not buying Switch 2, key cards are a scam to make people think they own physical games. I am positive by the end of the life of this console Nintendo will introduce Internet required DRM for non-physical games... Aka all switch 2 games. Sony already implemented this for PS5..

No, my ideal price is ZERO, since I would not even consider buying a console to use dumbass key cards on instead of owning physical games. Which brings me to $80 games that are crap. I gave plenty of systems and games that I OWN. If the world spontaneously combusts and I manage to still be alive, at least I can get my game on without intervention from the Internet or a subscription card. Enjoy being owned. 🤣
