The Switch 2 is being framed as a solid holiday buy at BJ's, with free shipping on the $429.99 member price and a reported path to even lower effective cost through price matching or discounted gift cards. The deal stands out because a September price hike is expected, and the console is being treated as better value than other handhelds right now. The main knocks are the high base price, expensive games, and frustration with Nintendo's key cards and digital rights approach. Overall, it reads as a timely way to lock in the console before costs climb further.
Common Questions (4)
Yes. Reported stackable paths include Best Buy price matching, buying discounted Nintendo gift cards from warehouse clubs or Costco, and then purchasing through Nintendo or GameStop for additional savings.
A September 1 price hike is mentioned, and the console is expected to stay expensive or rise again rather than drop soon. That makes the current $429.99 BJ's price more attractive if you want to buy before further increases.
It can be shipped even though the listing says "InClub only." The restriction appears to be on in-store pickup, not delivery.
Yes. The sale price is for active BJ's members signed into their account, and the purchase limit is 1 per member.

A couple other notes to consider from various outlets:
After an explosive start, Nintendo Switch 2 sales are not quite hitting the heights they were at launch, at least in the West. Over November and December in the US, Switch 2 sales were about 30% down compared to how Switch 1 sold during its first Christmas on the market (TGB sources). That has continued into 2026. For the first two months of the year, Switch 2 sales are roughly 20% lower than what Switch 1 managed during January and February 2018. At this pace, Switch 2 will eventually fall behind the Switch 1.
Nintendo will produce fewer Switch 2 units than it previously projected in response to weakening demand for the console in the US, Bloomberg reports. Four million units of Nintendo's flagship device are expected to be made this quarter instead of the six million it had originally planned, according to unnamed sources cited by the publication, with the reduced output set to continue in April.
At the end of the day, context matters. An isolated fact ("Switch 2 is one of the (if not THE) fastest selling console of all time") sounds great until you consider the larger picture. Time of course will tell but something for you to think about.
Steam and Nintendo are two different beasts so comparing them is hard even if they both offer the same form factor device. A steam conversation may be worthy of discussion but the focus of this post is Nintendo.
My guess is C1S are still doing 50 back pretty consistently and 100 back every couple weeks.
Definitely don't recommend adding their extension though to any browser. Huge invasion of privacy.
