$426 if you have a free target red card and also you can buy the Nintendo gift cards for a min of 10% off using these warehouse clubs and use those on the store Nintendo site and get 10% off the system with free delivery. Just an FYI

Loving the drop in prices for this console. Nintendo really overstepped on this device, too expensive for too little and games priced in the stratosphere. Nintendo needed a kick in the arse, it's good to see it happening. Still wouldn't buy, key cards are nothing but an insult to the consumer and a boon for Nintendo. Hard pass indeed!

The Switch 2 is being framed as a solid holiday buy at BJ's, with free shipping on the $429.99 member price and a reported path to even lower effective cost through price matching or discounted gift cards. The deal stands out because a September price hike is expected, and the console is being treated as better value than other handhelds right now. The main knocks are the high base price, expensive games, and frustration with Nintendo's key cards and digital rights approach. Overall, it reads as a timely way to lock in the console before costs climb further.

  • Discount stacking reportedly lowered the effective cost by using discounted Nintendo gift cards or eShop cards before buying through Nintendo.

    Starscream615abbot29Vimie

  • The "InClub only" listing still allowed ordering for shipment, with only in-store pickup potentially restricted.

    mr7rizt4n

  • A Best Buy price match plus switching pickup to a local store reportedly produced an easy $70 savings before a September price increase.

    FantasticLinen792

  • BJ's member pricing reportedly included free shipping and a limit of one per member.

    slickdewmaster

  • Some deal strategies rely on discounted gift cards or eShop balances, which may not be straightforward for every buyer to execute.

    Starscream615Vimieabbot29

  • Nintendo's "key cards" were criticized as an anti-consumer practice, and the deal was still rejected despite the price drop.

    rightone

  • Concerns were raised that Nintendo could add internet-required DRM for non-physical games, potentially affecting Switch 2 titles.

    JimmyJ6104

  • Switch 2 pricing may not drop soon, and it could rise again after price increases.

$50 price hike on Sep 1. Not sure it will stick b/c $500 and no game is nuts. (I have both the 2 and OLED). But if you are thinking ahead for the holidays this may be the be the best deal.

It's still $130 more than it should be. Hard pass.

Considering Steam Deck is going up $230-$300, the Switch will still sell. It's the entire computing/gaming industry that's going down the crapper, not just the Switch. But yes if you're eventually going to get one, probably better now than later.

So your ideal price is $300 in this economy where console prices for PS, Steam and Xbox are appreciating each quarter?!! Good luck finding one second hand in marketplace at this price, because I highly doubt any retailer will lower down to your expected amount. May be use the discounted gift cards techniques with existing offer on other sites to get a better deal, not sure though.

Cheaper to buy it through Gamestop or Nintendo themselves when GiftCards go on sale (10-20% savings).

This is slickdeal, not unusual to see comments from unrealistic bargain hunters (cheapos) LoL
