I was very disappointed in this. It's not really a security camera unless you pay for the cloud service. It's a doorbell that you can see and talk to the person at the door. The 3 hours of storage they claim is it will store events that have happened in the last 3 hours, not 3 hours of video. So if someone walks on your porch at noon and it records an event it's gone at 3:00. Don't buy this if you're thinking of using it as a security camera in any useful way unless you plan on paying for the subscription.

Google shut down all their services for the first and second gen Nest thermostats. Since all the recording for these is on the cloud, sooner rather than later it's just going to turn into a very expensive normal doorbell. With a giant company like Google, that specifically specializes in cloud services, you would think you would get longer support. But apparently not.

Google climbed the subscription ladder on us I wouldn't buy next cams anymore.
