Reachable batteries are not good for certain things like Smoke, or Carbon Monoxide detectors...plus convenience, and personal preference.

Im with you woth rechargeable. But i can think of 2 reasons. One is outside use.

I use batteries putside and the devices dont take lithium. Basically they batteries that i use outside is basically going to get weathered. Recharging them might not be a smart idea.

The other is power. Rechargeable batteries tend to have a lower voltage. This matters for some devices especially if your expecting longer usage.

The 3rd could be if your putting in devices you wont get back.

If you have a Sam's Club membership, isn't it cheaper here? I heard somewhere that these are made by Energizer. Not sure if these are similar to MAX!

Rechargeable are good for stuff you use commonly in a controlled manner like I use it for my smart door locks, which I can see when the battery gets low. But for other things that are used infrequently - like camping flashlights, which could also get dirty and lost, I use disposables. There's a place for both.

Yes, but not everyone wants \ needs 48; if I bought this, they'd outlive me - ha. Also, I mostly use rechargeable.

Last time I ordered this about a quarter of them were dead on arrival. After having a problem, I checked every one left in the package with my voltmeter and about 1/4 of them needed to be thrown away despite being "new".
