I usually don't buy tuna in oil because of the extra calories, but this stuff is awesome as pizza topping! Doesn't dry out when baked.

This tuna is delicious, and all I buy these days. Cento brand is better tasting but crazy expensive now.

If you're worried about the extra calories from canned tuna, you need to reevaluate your life. I can list 10 reasons why that's totally irrelevant to 99.999999% of people.

Can we verify its not part of the recall?

Tri-Union Seafoods issued a recall for select Genova Yellowfin Tuna products due to a manufacturing defect with the pull-tab lids, posing a risk of Clostridium botulinum contamination. A batch of previously quarantined tuna was mistakenly redistributed to stores in nine states. [1, 2, 3, 4]

https://www.fda.gov/safety/recall...a-cans-due

Thanks for the info. Luckily, the 8-pack I bought last month is not listed on the recall, but still a bit concerning.

Note that this is packed in regular olive oil and not extra-virgin olive oil.

I totally agree. This is the only brand I'll buy .. on sale or not. But I buy this at Costco... I'm pretty sure Costco size is bigger than this.
Yep, Costco has 7oz. cans. 6 x cans $19.99. That is the online price. Possibly cheaper in store, $17.99??
