Fantastic deal, it's what I gifted my husband for his birthday last year! He absolutely loved the upgrade from our old receiver and sony speakers. 🥹

Then was able to nab two Sonos One SLs from woot refurb for $100 each to complete the setup!

people give sonos a lot of sh**. Their app did suck at one point but its pretty good. While I dont think their sound products are top top tier, they are super easy to use, and i have one in almost every room in my house. Its so easy to air play to them, and good enough music. Especially if you get surrounds. I have a beam 2 in my bedroom for years, and love it.

I can say I bought it without subwoofer to start (came from a Vizio 2.1 system) and it sounded great. Very clear dialogue... but it definitely lacked thump. Bought a sub mini and it changed everything. Definitely need to add a sub if you want a full experience.

I have this paired with the mini sub woofer and play:1's surrounds for my bedroom. This combination produces excellent sound for movies and music. I had the original beam (gen1) but it did not support earc. Gen2 beam does.

BTW, I disabled the built in smart voice (Hey Google/ Hey Alexa) services on the beam and chose to go with a separate Alexa device.

surprisingly, it sounds decent. Some soundbars sound like an old AM radio - zero bass.it is not case with the beam.
