Yes and no. Yes its a good idea when putting in new lawn. But in our case, even with this type of mesh installed, we still got gophers. I forgot how long it took (few years?) but eventually the gophers found a way through :-(. On the plus side, I got very good at catching them.

Looks good, for the price it's worth it especially with free delivery. These are awkward to carry and weight just a bit.

I've seen very frustrated groundhog trying to rip out a makeshift fence I made by just hammering in some spikes, and it failed to get into my garden

I need to figure out how to easily bury this stuff to stop the small moles from tunneling in my yard.

Probably have to do a trench, line it with sharp gravel, put this in U-shaped to the top of the trench & fill with sharp gravel, then top off with dirt & grass seed.

This is a great price. Perfect for compost bins. Wrap 10' of this stuff around two 5' t-stakes sunk in the ground to make a circle and connect the ends.

Thanks! This was on my shopping list and now I don't have to haul it home. FYI for others, this is the perfect size spacing and gauge of wire for keeping raccoons and possums out of a chicken coop. It is never ideal for burying as the very cheap "galvanization" will allow the wires to rot through in maybe 2 or 4 years. I've heard of it working well for rabbit dens as well. I fell victim to some persistent raccoons and this is just want I need to close the hole I said "oh, they'll never get through there." They did... As others have mentioned, the price is double at the farm supply stores.
