This is nonsense. You may not like the chunky, pimpy style but I have Invictas, both quartz and automatics, that are over 10-15 years old and still work just fine. Modern Timex watches are terrible deals for the money.

Buy them and use the inerds to build a good watch. The parts of an invicta are often worth more than the watch itself. If you are buying to use as is you are better off with a Casio or Timex.

ignore the "retail" price. AND, i would strongly recommend that you take the same $ and buy a Timex in the same price range. Better quality. Invicta rarely last past the first year - if that long. i have owned many many watches including Invicta. i own too many watches now. But, i no longer own any Invicta. just FYI.
