Fully removable cooking surface and lid, digital controls, gets up to 500 degrees F, very even heating. America's Test Kitchen pick https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADy6PmwbskY
The Ninja Sizzle Pro XL GX100 is a large indoor griddle built for high heat, even cooking, and easier cleanup. It reaches 500 degrees Fahrenheit, has digital controls, a fully removable cooking surface and lid, and the vented lid helps steam escape while reducing splatter. The main catch is that this $149 version appears to be the griddle only, without the grill plate or timer, so it is more limited than the pricier bundle. The nonstick surface also narrows utensil choices, making it a better fit if the griddle plate is the part you want.
Shoppers who only need the griddle plate, because this version skips the grill plate and avoids storing an extra bulky accessory.
Indoor cooks who want even heating and removable parts, because the cooking surface and lid come off completely and the heat is described as very even.
This GX100 listing is the griddle-only version and does not include the grill plate. It is about $50 less than the version that comes with the grill plate, so it makes sense if you only want the flat cooking surface and do not need to store the extra plate.
It has a fully removable cooking surface and lid, digital controls, and heats up to 500°F. The vented lid helps steam escape and reduces splatter, which is useful for searing burgers without steaming them.
The non-stick surface is a drawback for some because it limits the utensils you can use and raises coating concerns. The upside is that the flat griddle is easier to clean than the grooved grill top and can help burgers develop a better crust.
The $149 price has been seen at Walmart for months, with one local store listing it at $149.97 for over 6 months. That makes this deal more of a steady street price than a deep discount.
This griddle-only GX100 version reportedly does not have the timer found on the more expensive version. That can be fine if you are happy using a phone or manual timer, and it also avoids the constant shutoff behavior mentioned on the other model.
I think this one doesn't include the grill plate, only the griddle plate unlike the more expensive version.
Correct. So if one doesn't need the extra plate, a place to store the extra plate, or spend the extra $50, then this one is fine. Both Walmart and Amazon have both versions for these prices for a while.
I was able to get the other version off the Ninja website for $170 using their 15% off coupon for registering for email notifications.
This one appears to not only not have the grill plate, but also does not seem to have the timer. I think this one might be better if you factor in the cheaper price, not having a huge bulky grill plate to store if you have no use for it, and it doesn't have the constant shutoff timer function you have to fight against the other version has.
The other version might be better if you want the grill plate or plate longevity, especially since it seems replacement plates are difficult to obtain.
The description of this deal is inaccurate. This is the griddle ONLY version. I almost ordered this before realizing it's the stripped down version. Missing the timer, I can live with, you can always use a manual timer or your phone, but without the grilling plate, that's like missing half of my use case for the appliance. IMO, not really all that slick, given the version of the product that's being offered. YMMV depending on your use case.

Good catch! I saw a video of this with both pans. I think having just the griddle is best anyway. It's much easier to clean than the grooved top, and probably will create a better crust on burgers, making the "grill" top one less thing to have to store.

The GX100 can reach up to 500°F and provides very even heating for indoor griddle cooking.
The perforated lid lets steam escape so burgers can sear instead of steaming.
The griddle-only setup can be easier to clean than using a grooved grill top.
The $149.97 price has stayed steady for months at a local Walmart, with only a small change.
This GX100 deal appears to be the griddle-only version that omits the grilling plate.
This version may also omit the timer, which removes a built-in convenience feature.
The non-stick cooking surface can limit utensil choice compared with regular grilling tools.
Grease drainage performance is uncertain, which can affect cleanup and day-to-day usability.
