Paypal was equally useless. Paypal claimed I needed written approval from Aliexpress saying they would refund me for the item and that I had sent it back. I was like, that's why I'm escalating to you, they are not talking to me and I can't send it back. Paypal found in sellers favor and refused appeal.
Long story short, finally sent the item back at my own cost so I could claim on my credit card and credit card approved.
I also cancelled my Paypal after decades of use. Will never use them again.
With that said, other returns to Aliexpress have processed fine and sent back with no issues. YMMV.
Something odd if anyone has seen similar issues: Imhadnthe printer in my cart and then looked at pla filaments. There was a .99 cent deal for colored pla. I had to select one at a time, then select the aliexpress log, then select cart. I had to do this each time for every filament I picked to get them to all show up in the cart. I purchased the printer and then went back to the tab with the filaments and they all jumped to about $13 each. When I searched Ali the .99 cent deal was gone. It's like committing to the printer or using PayPal for it negated them.99 deal. Strange behavior. I'll just order a pack of colors or something but that was weird.

• I've been using OrcaSlicer and not FlashForge's branded one.
• Heating element went out after 40 hours but FlashForger replaced it free and S&H free.
• Fan inside the enclosure in the back of the unit has always made a noise as if a bearing is going out.
• Got mine for $250 ish and been using the cheapest filament on AliExpress.
•Since it has IFS (can load up to 4 spools) it is nice when I have remnant filament I can load to print one project as it'll automatically goto the next spool, though you need to trick it.

It's kind of a 'flight club' kind of thing because it disrupts the revenue stream to this site, so don't expect a verbose answer. Discussion of things like this are only tolerated to a point, thus don't think the answers you get are rude.
Very addictive hobby. I bought the 5M about a month ago with this sale... and bought the 5X a few weeks later with the same sale.
I now have piles of filament everywhere. And my dining room has turned into a mini workshop.
10/10 would get and just embrace!
