are these any good? i'm in the market for a travel router but reddit seems to really recommend the GL.iNet Beryl AX as the frustration free entry point. should i jump on this?

I just bought the newer version for $50 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GLP6QL6R) which can be powered by 5V 3A and has a USB 3.0 port. I've been testing the router connected to a 5V 2A power adapter and haven't had any issue. I assume I can just plug it directly to USB port on the planes and in the hotel rooms without QC or PD. I doubt the hotels and airlines are providing higher speed than the router can handle, so I'm not paying $50 more for the wifi 7.

Thanks. Always worth clarifying BTW (since Amazon is so damned cheap) that it's a total of 15% back, meaning only an additional 10%.

There's a reason for the recommendation. Don't bother with TP-Link travel routers, the Beryl has way more features. Gl.inet as a brand is the undisputed king if you need one.

Beryl routers aren't this price for AX connectivity though.
