Everyone is scared of this colorway but this pack is great. I've done two weekend trips out of it, fits everything well and carries so much smaller than most travel backpacks.

Osprey recently start to sell kind of similar but premium version of it, Transporter-Travel-Pack 26+6. Regular price is $175. Is it worth the price; I am not sure, but black one looks better.

I recommend one of the two. Bag opens like a normal luggage and make the organization really easy.

For weekends, this is a great bag. It's also perfect to fit under the seat on a flight in its 26Lexpanded form.
If you want to dual purpose as a "normal" backpack, the design is not great for that because it opens like luggage and lacks some useful organization.
Personally I think the bag was worth $100 so this is a deal.

I think the main difference is that the Transporter is more rugged and water resistant. It does start to get into the price range of other, more premium travel packs though. The Daylite 26+6 has served me well on multiple urban trips, and I'd probably just pack a cheap rain cover if that was a concern.

Ooh, thanks for the heads up! I've used the Daylite quite a bit over the last year, and it's held up very well and the features are almost perfect...it just feels so, so, so cheap! So the Transporter might be just what I'm looking for...

Perfect personal item sized for US airlines. Held up well but not the most comfortable. Best used as a flight to hotel bag and not as a day pack

While people say it's not comfortable as a daypack, I daily this backpack for school, travel, and work. To me, this is the perfect "compromise" backpack for under $100. It does almost everything urban good enough, but is best for traveling. I frequently fly, and it's perfectly sized for weekend travel. Clamshell design is the highlight. The major drawback for me is the secondary pocket for accessories has multiple really small pockets. It would have been better if they halved the pockets, then it would be more usable.
While people say it's not great for comfort for a day pack, this made me hesitate on buying this backpack. I'm glad I still got it; I agree that it's not great but it's also not that bad. I have carried this all day and didn't find it uncomfortable, but dedicated daypacks with curved backpads and hipstraps will obviously outperform this backpack. Smart packing and weight distribution goes a long way though.
