Edit: Purple is available, but starting at $230. With the $29 coupon and $17 Paypal discount, it's around $180 before tax. Not bad, but I'd probably still go with an Anbernic RG 477V or 477M instead. It should perform better in PS2 and Gamecube, but the Snapdragon 865 in the RP5 will be much better for Switch emulation due to custom driver support.
If switch Emulation is what you want however, I'd strongly suggest going up to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2/3 or better platform, otherwise you'll find a lot of titles just run badly. However, the RP5 is a decent starting point for Switch emulation, and should run maybe half of Switch games acceptably.
