In for 1 - which will be my fourth. Ended up $546 for me, with the pay-with-Paypal bonus discount. Over $200 less than the cheapest I paid for any of the first 3.

Other than form factor, what is the advantage of this over the 150A 12V batteries? Both still require an inverter, correct?

12v vs 48v. The 12v has a lot less power (1800Wh) compared to this 48v battery (4800Wh).

Some (on DIY forums) have reported getting the UL-listed "Cubix" battery if their nearest warehouse was out of V3. YMMV.

UL rating to get permitted a full system in some states is hard to come by in other reasonable price alternatives. That is a nontrivial advantage.

You get to make one purchase with the paypal 35$ and 17 credits each, even if they are large enough to qualify for 35 in several orders.
One can get r10 CB which should currently be the highest reliable one.

Higher voltage means you can push more power through the same gauge wires and, usually, better build quality. 48V is pretty much standard for whole-home systems, though some vendors are pushing into higher-voltage territory.

was it through aliexpress?
For several brands aliexpress deep discount sales are a way to get rid of older version surplus, and they typically don't have every model at aliexpress.

Unfortunately no, these will not work for a permitted system. UL9540A is just data UL9540 is the actual certificate requirement which this doesn't have.

Gemini is saying this also. Thank you. I did not realize there was an informational flavor, and it is almost the same string. In my book it should be required to make it clear this is not good enough to permit in the listing.
