Note that this is the STANDARD membership level, and not the "Premium Plus."

The difference is that "Premium Plus" gives you 1 credit a month to use on any audiobook and you will 'keep' it unlock in your library, even if you cancel the membership later. "Standard" lets you 'select' one audiobook per month, and you can ONLY listen to it IF you maintain a membership. If you don't have a membership, then you can't listen to any books you got under "Standard."

I usually get the (what is now) Premium Plus level, but Audible changed their membership levels/options some time ago and I didn't look carefully and signed up for the Standard tier. Fooled me once, Audible...

Warning, this is the crappy plan without credits. When you decide to stop paying, you lose everything, you can't listen to the books you previously picked.

Not sure if this is allowed but for those interested in keeping your books after cancelling your membership (or keeping titles that are included for "free" with the premium membership), take a look at Libation. It allows you to download your current library for offline (and post-membership) listening.

im glad they have a standard tier now. i wasnt using alot of the features anyway. too bad i just switched over to it and cant get the deal. the only thing about it that is kind of sneaky is you dont get credits that roll over. you choose a book a month and if you dont choose one one month your SOL.

I've used a lot of the free 3 month programs and this deal isn't working for me...guessing I might be flagged. There's a few books I'd happily just listen to once but not going through.

it's just a hook to get you to choose the cheaper Premium Plan option for $7.50/mo for 3 months. If you're already a member you can just cancel your current subscription and it will provide the offer as an incentive to stay.

And what makes you think I've been a paid subscriber for 20 years? I've been using Audible for 20 years (as one can do with the classic Premium Plan, but paid subscription only when there was a free trial or the occasional deal like 12 credits for $99.
