I have the brushless model and it's a workhorse. Personally, I'd pass on this one until you can find a deal on the brushless one. I returned this model and bought the brushless one.

I have this model and it's a work horse. Literally cut roots in the dirt with the right blade and little trees. Took apart an entire old shed. It looks absolutely abused but is still going strong. I never got stuck or wished for more power or whatever the brushless version is supposed to have.

Dont listen to this marketing/ego nonsense, this is a great saw for the price and 99% dont need brushless

I have the old blue one and it's a workhorse as well. Abused it like crazy for well over 10 years - it's quite strong. For the price difference, I'd probably go with this one. Especially given the next review as well. I want to get this deal to get a new one, but really can't justify it, but this price is insane. If you need one, do not miss this deal.
