This 20 inch Perfect Aire box fan stands out as a strong air mover for the price, with even low speed pushing a surprising amount of air. It is also being used for white noise and DIY air filter setups, including Corsi Rosenthal builds and HVAC filter attachments. The metal construction gets credit for holding up better than plastic fans in long daily use, though it is louder than many fans and may not be strong enough for every filter setup. A solid budget pick for circulation or simple filtration projects.
People building a DIY air filter, because it can move enough air for a Corsi-Rosenthal setup when tested early.
People who want strong airflow for a garage or room fan, because even low speed blows hard and moves air better than some box fans.
People running a fan nearly nonstop for white noise or circulation, because the metal frame holds up better than plastic fans under 24/7 use.
People expecting a lightweight plastic fan to last through years of constant use, because the plastic prongs can chip and fall apart after months of abuse.
People planning a filter-mounted air purifier build without checking airflow first, because the motor can be too weak or strained with a filter on the intake side.
People who need a quiet bedroom fan, because it is louder than most fans and takes getting used to.

I want something that I can shoot directly on me. The current one, even with lowest setting is too strong with and generates noise.
