I do recall the days when Albums were pressed in the USA, so they were more affordable than CDs because supposedly, CDs were made in EUROPE or whatever. CDs started to be more affordable, and then Vinyl "ended". (for a while) I would dig in used record bins for all the Vinyl I could get my hands on! Some albums were $1-$5 and those same records, got the branding (VINTAGE) so NOW they are $25-$100! It's what the MARKET is doing. Everyone has a turntable now. Turntables became even WAY lower in price for a long while. NOW even USED turntables are expensive! Most people didn't have the PHONO INPUTS to play their turntable through their stereo, so they buy a new receiver with Phono inputs or get an external adaptor that has the correct impedance for their new (or vintage?) turntable.
On Vinyl, I've seen some good deals, in the past couple years on vinyl for $12-$15 (I've grabbed a few). Now I guess the "industry" tries to say that $20 is a discounted and a good deal? What happened to those lower teen prices that Walmart offered over the past couple of years. I guess I will pass and wait for this to be offered for $12-$13. Otherwise, I'll pass. lol
