The DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo is shaping up as a compact beginner drone that shines for hands free filming, quick launch and land, and follow me shots for hiking, biking, and other outdoor action. The enclosed props and palm takeoff make it feel safer around people, and the extra batteries and controller add flexibility when manual flying is needed. It can still crash in tight trees or brush, and smooth control gets harder at speed or with phone based virtual joysticks. The deal price also appears to vary, with PayPal checkout dropping it to about $314 before tax.

  • The Fly More Combo supports autonomous follow and gesture control through the app, letting you fly without using the controller.

  • The drone can deliver usable follow footage during outdoor biking when obstacle density is manageable.

  • PayPal checkout can add an extra discount, lowering the pre-tax total below the listed deal price.

  • The drone can launch and land quickly from hand while enclosed props help enable safer filming around people.

  • The drone can crash frequently in fast, obstacle-heavy scenarios like downhill riding through dense terrain.

  • Phone-based control and virtual joysticks can feel frustrating for smooth static event filming compared with a physical controller.

  • The deal price may vary at checkout, including cases where the price drops below the advertised amount.

  • Some units may be China-market versions that may not receive US support even when purchased through Amazon.

Are these considered "grey market"? If so, does that mean you can basically expect zero warranty/support in the US from DJI? New to purchasing from this website, thanks!

If you read the recent news FCC had decided to give DJI a hard time so regardless where you make your purchases expect 0 warranty.

Bought one from Ebay from a S. Korea seller for the same price without the controller. Love mine, and tempted to buy this one just to have this controller (there are 4 different ones that can work with this drone), but probably going to wait for a deal for an Avata 2 or 360 with the goggles and FPV controller. This isn't just a beginner drone - its the drone I want if I'm filming around people or need something super safe (props are enclosed) , or need something to do fast shots (launch and land from hand without needing a controller). I have it in a case strapped to my chest on my hiking/biking backpacks, and I can launch, follow film, and land and store within seconds. Been using it downhill mountain biking and it will keep up as long as you don't have it go thru thick brush and trees, where it has to slow down to navigate around. Its basically my go to flying selfie camera. Planning to go FPV (ie Avata 2/360, or other drone that works with the DJI Occusync protocl so I can share the goggles and controler with my Neo 2) for faster shots where I want to pilot.

Just shot this on Sunday on a bike ride. I have a bunch more better videos of faster riding elsewhere but need to find the links to those. It will keep up, but you have to think ahead of the obstacles it will have to avoid, and choose shooting spots with minimal obstacle avoidance. The forward looking lidar doesn't do great with leafy bushes and branches, and if it is going sideways, the optical cameras do even worse with those. If it is going slow, it will detect most everything, but if its going at full tilt, it will crash into stuff quick. https://www.instagram.com/stories...468317123/
That's basically what I am looking to do with it. Dirt biking, mountain biking, hiking, etc. Want something simple that I can get quick shots without controller and seems this fits the bill.

Had original Mini in the past but it was too much hassle to deal with. I can pull this out, launch it, get some footage, etc without screwing around with the controller and I'll have one if I just want to fly around. Looking forward to getting it next week!

It's been awesome for that. Just understand it's limitations and it'll perform well, but expect it will still crash sometimes. Thankfully it's pretty durable and hasn't broken yet. I definitely need a physical controller tho - I've been trying to do some static filming at events and such, and not having activetrack just with the phone, and trying to do smooth filming with the virtual joysticks is frustrating to say the least. I just don't want to collect ALL the remotes, but I may end up doing so.

That's the reason I wanted this kit vs just the drone. I still want to fly with the controller when I need to but I'd say 90% of time it will be autonomous with gesture controls.

correct. the one i received I think it is for the China market. You will definitely not get an US support, especially since it is not officially available in the US. Even if you buy it via Amazon, same thing applies.
