Know your brand. Carote doesn't even make teflon coated products. That's their "raison d'etre".

Looks like teflon(PTFE) based nonstick, didn't see "Ceramic" mentioned anywhere. Just FYI.

The blue color is the same price and mentions ceramic in the description and picture.

DO NOT BUY THIS. I bought it last week. The metal in the bottom of the pan was bent and burnt after few usage. I was using med-high heat and surely pan was not overheated.

Keep seeing this brand everywhere but I'm so hesitant of it. Also, am avoiding non-stick as much as possible. Just got a whole set of 5-ply stainless steel and rather go thru the learning curve (never more than medium heat) to ensure healthy eating for my newborn and ss will last a lifetime

You can buy carbon steel pans for nonstick. Just season and add like a teaspoon of oil or small butter pad and rub around. More nonstick that SS and lasts forever. Just reserve the SS pan for acidic meals that could remove the coating. For example, spaghetti sauce, lemon chicken, etc.

You can also get cast iron, but it's heavy. Some brands of carbon steel are heavy also if thick. Consider Merten & Storck as they're thin and light.

I wish I had known this 20+ years ago with my kids and as wedding gifts. Teflon pans are the worst. Ceramic will eventually chip as well, so if you want something that actually lasts like SS, carbon steel or cast iron. I have bought the Merten & Storck pans when on sale on Amazon and given them to my boys for their apartments. I also plan on buying these for wedding gifts.

Is this deal actually a good deal ? Or is this just another "let's show them the normal high price so they think it's a deal" deal ?

Went carbon steel 6 months ago, never looked back. It is trickier to use and it'll probably never be as good as a brand new teflon or ceramic. But unlike teflon, CS gets more non-stick the more you use it.

Trying not to sound like a shill here... check out a kitchen pans reviewer on the ytube, he is very prudent...
