Soundcore P20i earbuds stand out as a low cost pair with surprisingly strong sound for the money, especially for everyday listening, work, runs, and gym backups. The bass and overall audio are often described as better than expected, and the battery is solid enough for daily use, though some long term wear has shortened runtime on one side. The main tradeoffs are no noise cancellation, no multipoint support, and occasional reliability complaints around charging or battery life. A budget friendly option if you mainly want decent sound and simple use.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes. At around $20, it is described as a strong value with solid sound quality for everyday music, calls, and backup use, and several comments compare it favorably to pricier mainstream earbuds.

  • If you want noise cancellation or better device switching, the P30i or P31i is the better pick. The P31i is specifically praised for call noise cancelling and stronger Bluetooth range, while the P30i is described as the one to get for a bit more money.

  • No. The P20i lacks noise cancellation and does not have multipoint support, so it is better suited to basic listening than switching between multiple devices or blocking background noise.

  • Battery life is generally good at first, but some long-term users report one earbud dropping to about 5-6 hours after extended use, and others say the battery does not last long. It is still usable for daily listening, but longevity may vary.

I lost my iPods and am considering these. I was told Soundcore has good products and that the Liberty 4 is one of their best.

I bought a Soundcore Liberty Neo back in 2020 for $28 thinking they would last me a year or two until I jumped into the Air Pod mix. It turns out they suited my needs and even though the sound quality isn't as good as other higher priced models there just hasn't been a reason for me to jump ship. The battery life on my Liberty Neo's is still great and everything functions like new. So of course if you are an audiophile go with a much higher priced brand but if you just want to make calls and listen to music off your phone or devices give it a try it may suit your needs.

any1 have used this before? How are they comparable to airpods?
Bought these when I couldn't find my Pixel buds and they've been fine for the price point. Don't expect airpod quality though

I will echo the comments from many in this thread. A couple years ago I got a set of P20s which quickly moved to being my daily use set. Recently, the battery life in one side has gone down to only lasting about 5-6 hours before needing a charge. Still very usable and I have found that many daily use earbuds have diminished battery life around a year or so though 5-6 hours is still very usable just no longer as long as I originally experienced. At Christmas, I was gifted another set that are now my daily earbuds with the old set used less frequently for times I don't need exceptionally long battery life.

For $20, these are substantially better than I expected and a solid set of earbuds. Both audio and battery performance is as good, if not better, than the various $50-$80 name brand earbuds I have used. Better is always subjective but would assume high end Pixel Buds or Airpods would outperform these. That said, these are not intended to be in the high-end audio realm and for $20 you won't be too upset if they get lost or damaged while still getting solid sound quality.

Bought these as cheapo backups if I forget my main earbuds before heading out for a run or to the gym. They sound amazing for $20 and are well worth the purchase.

I'm actively using p20i and p31i
P20i have impressive sound quality. However there is no noise cancellation, and poor Bluetooth connection range.
I would prefer soundcore p31i, which has an impressive noise cancelling during calls (no noise cancellation from surrounding) and better Bluetooth range and multi device support. When I purchase, it was $31 ($11 more than p20i).
I also noticed the sound quality of p31i is poorer than p20i
How is the sound of P31i WORSE than P20i? P31i is two levels above P20i.
