does this have a fan in it to aid in air circulation?
If not, where is the cold plate(s)?

I hope this makes sense.

I have a 20? yr old cooler of similar size. It's massive, has yeti-thick walls, a fan to aid in air circulation, but it uses a 60w Peltier element. It helps keep things "cool" but not cold, so food spoilage is an issue unless we use ICE... which kinda defeats the who purpose.
Get a compressor based unit like this. Peltier is not effective enough for this purpose.

al alternative that is a bit more

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D96G...dp_it&th=1

Having dual zones is nice. Can have both a fridge and freezer at the same time.

I have the vevor branded version and it works fantastic.

Of course Amazon ignored the "fragile/this side up." I have let it sit for a few days, hopefully the refrigerent will have settled by now.

I did look at this one and another one by Euhomy too. Even I got a $30 coupon at Vevor, I decided to avoid it due to the poor reviews on customer service and warranty. The Euhomy one may be okay, but it seems to be the same OEM product sold under different brand names, so it is not using Euhomy's compressor. BougeRV has longer warranty and better reputation in customer service and support.

I fervently bought a higher end BougeRV overland fridge. I would avoid this brand, you get what you pay for. I went to big bend and had food spoil. Either it was too cold and fridge section froze or it wouldn't be cold enough.
The displayed temperature is highly inaccurate.

Yes that could work. There's an battery protection switch you'll need to play with intended to keep your car battery from draining. this is pretty big. I have a full size truck and it takes up the entire rear center seat between 2 kid seats. I can't imagine using this in a mid size like a Tacoma or something.
It fits in the back seat of my Accord pretty easily. I assumed a full size truck would have even more room.

It's not the refrigerant, it's the compressor's oil.

I have a different brand, but I think they all have the cold plates located between the two zones. In the half wall near the compressor, if that makes sense.

It doesn't have internal fan, but it is much more efficient than a peltier fridge.

I'm using my ebike battery, with a 48v-12v DC converter to run it during the night.
