For people that love the GL.inet gear this is an amazing price off the MSRP of $199.99. Almost every major review of this device gives it 4/5 stars or 80%+ scores. The only few nitpicks are a slower SOC than the previous generation, slower wire guard performance, no mesh implementation, and I dont believe there is any open WRT support for it.

In general this is a lot of good hardware for a great price. Would upgrade from a wifi 5 device to this no problems if that was my goal.

I see $151.20 as the listing price and a $24 off $150 coupon.

From someone who hasn't bought computing stuff from Ali Express, can I trust that the software has not been tampered with?

You must watch a lot of news, you should worry about Facebook spying on you more than Chinese tech. You can flash the router with the latest firmware if that will give you a peace of mind

You're not special enough for a foreign government to monitor what videos you stream all day or what social media you stare at. If a foreign nation wants to hack you, trust me, they will unless you go in a cave and only use paper messaging. This company is based on HK, so use your own judgement.

There's a reason the Flint 2 is recommended over this.

Flint 2 has faster VPN speeds and OpenWRT branch if you want to tinker under the hood. Flint 3 is tri-band with additional 6Ghz and MLO, QualComm chipset (which is why it's got closed source gl-inet firmware) but some may argue more stable consistent WiFi connections vs MediaTek on Flint2, slower VPN because of slower SOC. Personally at this discounted price , I would pick the Flint 3 especially if the router is going to be placed in the same room as where I'd be using the internet the most to take advantage of 6GHz. Also don't need raw VPN speeds that much faster, plenty fast enough.
