Home Depot has the Delta 2 available for $288 on clearance. It's in-store only, but they make it easy to spot on their site if you have a store chosen with one available at the clearance price.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/EcoFl.../322228739

My store had 5, now down to 4. No other stores nearby seem to have the same price markdown.

EcoFlow sells the same model as a refurb on eBay for $279: https://www.ebay.com/itm/144765190276

Some traders on AliExpress seem to have this listed for the same price, but I'd rather get it from Home Depot, if possible. Good luck!

EcoFlow's Delta 2 is a portable LiFePO4 power station best suited for camping and short outage backup, especially for keeping a fridge, lights, or a TV running. It has enough capacity for practical mobile use, and the 1800W output with 2700W surge is enough for many everyday loads. The main limitation is that it is not a whole house backup system, and direct home panel use is not native or simple. Clearance pricing also varies widely by store, with reports ranging from the low 200s to the mid 400s.

  • The Delta 2 can serve as a short-term backup power source for outages by running essentials like a fridge and lights.

  • The clearance price can be low enough to make the purchase worthwhile when local inventory matches the deal.

  • The Delta 2 can be used with a generator-inlet style adapter to power 120V circuits through a panel during outages.

  • The Delta 2 can reportedly be used to power both legs of an electrical panel by routing two 120V legs through an L14-30 receptacle.

  • Connecting the Delta 2 directly to a home panel is difficult without proper installation and correct electrical setup.

  • The Delta 2 cannot output 240V split-phase power, so high-draw 240V appliances and heavy 1500W-1800W loads may not be practical.

  • Clearance pricing is unreliable because it depends on true in-store stock and ship-to-store orders may not carry the clearance price.

  • Battery health verification can be difficult on refurb units because cycle count and condition testing are not straightforward.

Whichrans the specs are wrong. Without the backup you cannot get to 2700 peak.watts. you won't top 1800...*give or take a few watts
I think it's talking about transient spikes, not sustained capacity.

EcoFlow's own site shows 2700W for surge/peak power:

https://us.ecoflow.com/cdn/shop/f...1765268926

And in the specs section of their product page too (scroll down and click the Specs heading):

I wish I knew more about these things. Could I buy 1 (or 2) or these, 'tie' them together, charge it off my house panel, and then use them only when the power is out? And put in basement?
I don't think you can plug into your home panel because this is only 120v. You would need 240v capability, which you will not find for under $1000 usually much more.

There are batteries systems and batteries that can be used together to power whatever you need, but this is not that. These are geared more towards portability, ease of use, relatively low costs, and simplicity. They are not built to connect to your home's power system. Backup battery systems that can directly power your home are quite a bit more expensive and should be professionally installed unless you are a knowledgeable and avid DIY'er. This is a top-quality unit that provides a usable amount of mobile power, or very short-term power for appliances, but doesn't come with the capacity or functionality you appear to be looking for.

I'm seeing $440. Oh well, I can pass because I already have other mobile power options, but this is okay if you find it.

Nothing near me, but $249 at a store near my in-laws. If they still have it this weekend, might have to pick it up.

they make specific adapter cords, that go from 120v to 240v, so if one has a 240v generator inlet on their electrical panel, one should be able to plug the power station into it.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CH7V5372/

it won't power the 240v appliances (you should flip those breakers off), but it will power up the 120v circuits.

so, in a grid down situation, you should be able to plug your 1800w 120v power station into the main panel (or sub panel if you have one) via the generator inlet, which makes it convenient to not have to run extension cords all over the place.

just flip on any of your light switches, turn on the tv, or plug something into the outlet, and it should work. of course, you most likely will not be able to run a powerful microwave, air fryer, hair dryer, etc. on top of your base loads, so you will need to use a second power station dedicated speficically for these high draw loads of 1500w - 1800w.

to clarify, just so there is no confusion, it's not actually stepping up the voltage or converting from 120v to 240v, it's just wired to send two legs of 120v through the L14-30 receptacle (which you can then plug-in to your 240v inlet), so you can power up both 120v legs of your electrical panel and run the 120v circuits. of course, it won't output 240v split phase, but still nice to be able to power the 120v circuits on both legs, so as to run things in the house which are hard-wired in, and don't have a plug available (such as ceiling home lighting), as well as to avoid running a maze of extenstion cords all over the house. could also power up the 120v furnace fan for example, through the panel, so you don't freeze to death.
(might need a neutral-ground bonding plug to do this.)

Thank you so much for sharing all this! I'd love some more articles or videos on it that you could link. The amazon link to the adapter is much appreciated. Of course, I will do my own research too, but some quality links would be nice.

I think you are misleading people. The people that savy enough to do this will have a 240v power station. The people that are not, will have no clue what you are talking about about. That's the reality. This product is just not meant to be plugged into the whole house panel. Anyone thinking it could is just dreaming.
