I had ordered one of these as well a few weeks ago when it was here on Slickdeals for a few more bucks, today's deal is better but mine showed up well packaged and in what I would call like new condition, I would agree with their review that it performs much like any other 1440p Samsung QD-OLED panel of its generation which means good, especially when you're comparing it and upgrading some kind of 1440p 165 Hz or 180 Hertz low end monitor that uses either a VA or IPS LCD panel, they're simply no comparison especially if you're using it in a light controlled environment, it gets plenty bright. ASUS and MSI recently have rolled out a newer generation RGB Tandem QD OLED panel back at the CES show in January, I'm sure those models are nicer but they are twice the price.
With that being said, you can see where there is some cost cutting on these compared to an Asus or some MSI models that might use the same QD OLED panel manufactured by Samsung. The controls for the OSD and access to them are not as ideal in my opinion and the quality of the stand is acceptable but not high-end by any means compared to their more expensive counterparts from Samsung, MSI or ASUS or LG. But I think these represent a great value for the money and I'm glad I bought one. As far as the eBay Allstate warranty, I did have to use it twice because I have bought many products refurbished on eBay that comes with that warranty and in both cases Allstate chose not to do a repair. The last time I used it was for a refurbished Haier microwave oven that failed after 15 months, Allstate honored the warranty by simply refunding my original purchase price and I had to send them a picture of the cord being severed, not sure how it would work on these.
I purchased this monitor from this same seller a few weeks ago and I'm currently in the process of returning it. Buyers should be extremely cautious:
- Condition & Packaging: The unit arrived damaged, likely due to inadequate packaging (it was packed only with thin 'egg-carton' material against the screen). This clearly violates eBay's 'Certified Refurbished' standards, which mandate a pristine, like-new condition.
- Warranty Risks: Because the unit arrived with pre-existing damage, the included 2-year Allstate warranty is effectively compromised or invalidated.
- Seller Practices: I have had a difficult time getting them to understand basic requests—likely due to a language barrier or reliance on translation tools. More importantly, the seller attempted to move our communication and the exchange process off-platform, which is a direct violation of eBay's ToS and a major risk to your eBay Buyer Protection.
- Inventory Concerns: Based on recent negative feedback and the fact that they appear to operate shops on other marketplaces like Temu and Amazon, I strongly suspect they are attempting to recirculate damaged returns elsewhere, hoping customers won't notice or bother with the return process. Once an eBay certified refurb is returned (due to damage) they are not allowed to resell that same product. Keep in mind this is a high volume seller and lacks practical customer support; it's likely that they will recirculate the same monitor despite this. Additionally, I approached them on Temu these past few days, and most of their response (if not all) were automated responses.
I highly recommend checking the recent negative reviews on this listing before committing to this purchase.I bought the refurbished MiniLED version of the is monitor from the same seller. It came also with damaged box, but I didn't open it because I got a better deal on Best Buy. So I just initiated the return process.
I sent it back with provided fedex tracking before the deadline for return, and the seller still filed a claim and refused the refund. I had to send eBay CS the tracking number and picture of delivered product to get my refund.
Just a heads up.
