I have about three of these, they are pretty good to throw in the the car (they fit neatly in the coin holder in the armrest to prevent rolling), and one in my work bag. They are plenty bright for most emergency use cases.
I prefer the SC13A (with the Nichia 519A) due to better CRI, but the SST40 is fine too.
I thought the 519A is a little warmer and about 200lm less, but that doesn't seem to be reflected in the AliExpress listing. I could be wrong.
My EDC. The button is easy to press for some reason, so make sure to lock it by triple-clicking.
ETA: in for another at this price!
Also my EDC. I have a lot of flashlights and always go with this one for my every day light. Fully waterproof. Offers enough battery life to be practical. Plenty bright for an EDC.
I have the 519A version. The high CRI light is awesome.
I have reasons to walk across fields on the regular. Often times, I'm coming back in the late evening or after the sun sets. This little flashlight is so easy to pocket and run time is perfect for that 10 minute walk in the dark. I typically run it on high, but if I'm out for extended periods of time I will dial it down to save on battery. My eyes will adjust no problem...it just takes a few minutes. The beam is wide enough for walking and there's enough throw that you know if any wildlife is in the immediate vicinity. I also like the magnetic tail cap for car or computer rack situations. It's overall extremely versatile and one of my favorites.
If I absolutely know I'm outside in the dark for a while, I will take an 18650 flashlight instead of this one for the guaranteed runtime. They're also very easy to pocket....this one is just a bit smaller so it feels more worthwhile in the "questionable if I"ll use it" type situations.
Cant believe you post deals from a Trash site like AliExpress. Slick didn't used to post deals from garbage sites.
Feel free to NOT buy from them - for my part, I'd rather purchase on AliEx rather than buying the exact same (Chinesium) thing on Amazon for 50-100% more.
