However, I found a video review [youtube.com] that connects the dots. The OCuLink port is behind a label on the right side of the device. So if you were keeping an eye out for mini PCs with an OCuLink port and were concerned like me, I hope this helps clarify things.
Community Reviews
This AOOSTAR mini PC stands out as a compact homelab and light AI box with a Ryzen 7 Pro 6850H, 24GB of onboard LPDDR5, and OCuLink for external GPU use. The included memory alone is a big part of the value, and the machine has been used successfully for Kubernetes, Proxmox, OPNsense, and eGPU setups. The soldered RAM cannot be upgraded, the integrated Radeon 680M is dated for gaming or heavier AI work, and brand support has a poor reputation. It looks best suited to small, practical builds rather than long term storage or high maintenance workloads.
Mini PC tinkerers adding an external GPU for inference, because OCuLink works well once the model is loaded and avoids a full desktop case and PSU.
Home-lab builders running Kubernetes or Proxmox, because the mini PC has enough threads and 24GB of RAM to stay solid under light server workloads.
Small-model AI hobbyists, because 24GB of RAM and the 680M iGPU can handle acceptable local inference even though performance is slow.
Portable-device buyers who care about bandwidth per watt, because LPDDR5 can offer strong throughput in a compact, low-power system.
NAS builders wanting simple, long-term storage, because turning this mini PC into a disk server needs extra cabling, mounting, cooling, and power for the HBA.
Gamers expecting desktop-class external GPU performance, because OCuLink bandwidth is lower than a modern x16 slot and can reduce frame rates.
People who need upgradeable memory, because the RAM is soldered and cannot be expanded later.
Buyers who depend on long-term vendor support, because the brand can be slow to respond and the hardware can become unstable within a year.
