Went to the nearest 7-11 and they didn't have any cans of the vita coconut water and the cashier said it's not going to work on the carton.

It DOES work on the carton-the carton is in the t-mobile picture and the carton has the correct ounces. You can always have them void it if it didn't work. I picked up the yellow lemonade one, but there were 3 other flavors on the shelf.

Does it work on all flavors? I thought it was can only and no carton?
The cans show in the speedway/7-11 app, but the guy at Speedway told me they did a reset of the drinks and the cans were discontinued out. The picture in t-mobile shows the tetra pack cartons and that is the correct ounces and that will work.

Even though the deal is legit, does not mean the owner or whomever has an involvement/attachment to the finances of the store are going to be happy. They have to give away a product for a steep discount, which means no profit for them. If it works, it works; however, just know it is going to make people unhappy.
These promos are generally funded at the corporate level with "marketing" money. The individual franchisee stores probably pay a fixed fee/percentage every month/year for "marketing".

They may still be unhappy about this type of "marketing" though Smilie

I haven't seen the cans at my 2 local stores

just cartons, 16.9 ounces
I was charged a nickel each for recycle deposit on the cartons. Thought the deposit was only for bottles and cans.

I tried all flavors by now. The yellow one was yuck. The pineapple one was good. The best one is the original blue coconut water.

Got ripped off at 7-eleven. Picked up 2 cartons of vita coconut water from store (2 accounts). Cashier charged me .05 CRV for each. Didn't realize until home that there's no CRV on cartons. Big Grin

A nearby 7-11 had cans but I didn't want to test it since it's not exactly 16.9 oz, per the fine print. I've used the promo on two different flavored cartons (separate transaction). Just swing by another 7-11, or go when there's a different person at the register.

You could always dispute it with your credit card company and see if the location fights back. You would have to have solid proof that there is no CRV on cartons to make your case. Of course, doing this, they could block your card from being used at that location in the future.
My card has been barred from use at Popeyes for this reason because they never gave me an item that I ordered and I kept charging it back. Not like Popeyes was going to give me the money back on their own.

I can confirm there is no CRV on cartons. At one of the 7-11 the cashier told me not to pay the .05 but not the others. 7-11 can get in big ass trouble with state regulators for falsely charging the CRV.

Against my instinct, I paid with cash, and I didn't take a receipt Frown
$.05 with CC would have cost them most of that in process fee, and I was being nice. The cashier didn't look happy that it was pretty much free already.

I don't have many 7-11s around me and the next closest one is an extra 30 min away so I'm not going to drive to another one just to see if it will work. Not worth my time.
