The PSU at 850W Gold is sufficient for this kind of system. Modular is nice. It's good, basically.
Putting 5800 RAM is a pet peeve of mine. It's just kind of annoying.6000/6400 is like <$50 extra but if you wanted to boost this yourself, ewll that's $400-450 (minus whatever you can get from the RAM). Is that a huge difference? No. For gaming it's neglible. For anything memory-intensive (eg LLMs) it becomes more significant. I just feel like a 9800X3D or 5070Ti should have a 6000 baseline.
Community Reviews
This is a strong current-market value for a Ryzen 7 9700X and RTX 5070 Ti desktop, with a fully modular 850 watt Gold power supply and 32GB of DDR5. The power supply is considered sufficient for this class of system, and the modular cabling is a nice touch. The main knock is the 5600 MHz memory, which sits below the preferred 6000 to 6400 CL30 range for regular Zen 4 and Zen 5 chips. There is also a price pressure from nearby RTX 5080 deals and reports of Walmart cancellations and rough shipping or packaging on similar desktops, so the value depends on how much risk you want to take.
Common Questions (5)
At current market pricing, $1999 is considered a good price for this Ryzen 7 9700X / RTX 5070 Ti build. A nearby comparison was a $2199 system with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5080, which makes this one look reasonable, though some shoppers still think it should be closer to $1600.
The desktop comes with 32GB DDR5 rated at 5600 MHz, which is usable but below the preferred 6000-6400 CL30 range for regular Zen 4/5 CPUs like the 9700X. That matters because faster memory can improve performance on non-X3D Ryzen chips.
Yes. It includes a fully modular 850W Gold-certified power supply, which is enough for this class of system and is a nice upgrade for cable management.
There are reports of similar ABS desktops arriving in badly fitting packaging and heavily damaged, requiring immediate returns. That suggests shipping protection may be a concern for this kind of prebuilt.
Yes. One order was canceled after Walmart's policy review flagged it, so the listing or fulfillment process can trigger a cancellation even after purchase.
