This Skytech Nebula 2 looks like a solid midrange gaming desktop built around a Ryzen 7 9700X, 32GB of DDR5, and a 16GB RX 9060 XT. The parts pricing is the main appeal, with the CPU, graphics card, and memory alone adding up close to the asking price in today's market. The 1TB SSD, 240mm AIO, and 650W Gold PSU round out the build, and the brand-name components and long daily use without issues add some confidence. The main knocks are the earlier lower price, the one year warranty, and weaker value at 1440p or 4K. A practical pick if the current component market is driving the comparison.
Common Questions (4)
It is priced competitively for current parts costs: the Ryzen 7 9700X, RX 9060 XT 16GB, and 32GB DDR5 alone can add up to roughly the same amount when bought separately, leaving the case, 1TB SSD, 240mm AIO, PSU, and Windows for the rest. It was also $999 earlier in the year, so the current value depends on whether you compare it to past pricing or today's inflated component market.
If you can get a Micro Center bundle, some shoppers say a nearby store can beat this price by building around a discounted CPU/motherboard/RAM combo. Others note that without those bundles, the Skytech's parts pricing is close to what the CPU, GPU, and RAM cost on their own, so the prebuilt can still make sense.
The system reportedly uses name-brand components throughout except for the PSU. One owner reported a year of 8+ hours-per-day use with no issues, but the power supply is the one part not called out as a name-brand component.
The RX 9060 XT setup is reported to be about 5-10% better at 1080p, but only around 1-2% at 1440p. That means the gaming uplift is mainly at 1080p, while the advantage largely disappears at 1440p and 4K.
