Mario Tennis Fever for Nintendo Switch 2 is showing up as a real in store clearance at Costco, with the price ringing at $39.97 even when shelf signs still show higher amounts. Availability appears highly local, but multiple warehouses had stock, including several copies in Georgia and Utah, while online inventory could still show zero. The game has also been discounted before, and Costco has refunded the difference within 30 days for earlier purchases. The main caution is that stock can vanish fast, and the game itself is not a must play unless ranked mode matters to you.

Common Questions (4)

  • It is still available at some warehouses, including Cumberland, GA, Sandy, UT, and Brookhaven, GA, with multiple copies reported on hand. Other locations have already sold through or shown out-of-stock after checkout.

  • Yes. The shelf sign can still show $62.99, but the game rings up at $39.97 at checkout. Some warehouses also needed an employee to print updated signage even when the app showed 0 stock.

  • It appears to be handled like limited seasonal stock: Costco buys a fixed quantity, sells through it, and clears it out if it does not move. That explains why some stores still have copies while others have none.

  • Yes, if the price drops within Costco's 30-day window, the difference can be refunded. One purchase from May 12 was adjusted at the Colorado Springs warehouse.

I wonder if Costco is moving away from selling video games? My local stores doesn't appear to have any PS5 games, while on the Nintendo side, Mario Tennis is about the only one left for sale.

At my local store this case and controller combo was also marked down to $10.

Note that the controller is wired and the connection is USB A to USB C.

They treat it like a limited time seasonal item. So it seems like they purchase a certain number and just sell it until they run out. If they don't sell then they clearance them out like this.

I'm so glad I was able to partake in that deal, which is why this one is giving me pause as this game is not great and the price is $10 more.

I checked out with this yesterday and when I went to the pickup area, they told me they were out of stock and forced a refund.

Brookhaven Georgia location still has seven. Just picked one up. The perimeter location had nine but someone bought all nine.

Just picked up from Garden Grove. There were no cards left but I asked an employee to check and they still had at least 1, which I grabbed. Not sure if they have more. The app said "in stock".
