Really fun cyberpunk book with a lot of cool ideas, although has a big lore dump chapter near the end, still fun though

It's a classic, very ahead of it's time, but IMO there are just so many better sci-fi books if you have limited reading time.

It's not much of a deal at $1.99. It's available for free from any library without a wait and you still have to put your time into consuming it.

If you have a large time budget and want to read this historical sci-fi, get it free from your local library app or use Libby for the audiobook

If you can only read one or a few sci-if books this year, spend the extra few bucks or register in a longer hold queue and try some Adrian Tchaikovsky

It cost you more in time to write that out than the $2 it would cost to buy the book. The book is great. The audio book is also great.

It has a lot of good ideas, but the plot makes no sense. For example, two of the main characters have fathers who both served in WWII. Even Vietnam would have been a stretch.

It's still better than Ready Player One though.

Diamond Age is a better Neal Stephenson book

From the Google summary. Nice to know NS completely breaks GenAI from 44 years ago

"The Deliverator never deals in cash. To ensure his 30-minute guarantee, his car is essentially an electrified tank capable of firing a pound of bacon into the asteroid belt"
