Can only speak of my experience, but I was able to use the survey code to order the cheesesticks by themselves and that order (which was free) also generated a survey with a code for free cheesesticks (expires 90 days from survey completion). Could vary by location I guess. The product itself isn't bad, it's just a small cheese pizza sliced into sticks, there's no sauce when they bake it but you get a small cup with some. Probably worth it to someone who is buying Papa John's anyway.

Now THAT is interesting.

Usually, when I receive that offer, and then order the cheese sticks by itself, I am NEVER able to get another cheese sticks survey. I remember thinking about it when I did this the last time, "Would there be a way to hack and get infinite cheese sticks?"

I have not had that luck.
Edit: I had another offered I used which made the item free, Chocolate Chip Cookie, and that transaction, I was also able to get the free cheese sticks. So to date, I have been able to get the survey for a paid transaction, a papa dough only transaction, and finally, a free item transaction.

I order Papa John's one a month or so. I am familiar with the survey email but I don't always receive it after ordering. I wonder if they turn it on/off to control the intake of feedback or to limit having to give out free cheese sticks when sales $ are down.
