BougeRV's rechargeable camping fan stands out as a compact, quiet fan with a built in 20,000mAh battery, app control, and a light, making it useful for camping, hotels, travel, and power outages. Runtime is the main strength, with reports of lasting about a day on low or around two nights at level 2, while charging times around two to five hours are described as reasonable for an 18W input. The main knocks are price and size, since $50 feels high versus battery tool fans or cheaper alternatives, and some wish for stronger airflow or clearer CFM specs. It looks most appealing if portability and battery life matter more than raw power.

  • Travelers sleeping in hot hotel rooms, because low speed moves enough air to stay comfortable when the room is stale or noisy.

  • Road-trippers who want a compact carry-on fan, because the battery is under 100Wh and the hook makes backpack transit easier.

  • People wanting a quiet fan for overnight use, because it can run nearly a full day and stays super quiet.

  • Campers needing a rechargeable fan for power outages, because it can make sleeping tolerable when electricity is out for days.

  • People comparing against battery-tool fans, because similar cordless options with swappable batteries and AC plugs can be better value.

  • Shoppers who need a compact fan with a slim profile, because it is described as too big and too thick for what it does.

  • Shoppers expecting strong airflow from a small fan, because it was returned as weaker than expected at this price.

  • Buyers who want replaceable batteries, because once the battery degrades the fan loses much of its usefulness.

Not all of us are invested in those or any tool ecosystems
The nice thing about my original Dewalt 11" fan and the Ryobi Canon fan is that they both also include 120v plugs so you can hook an extension cord to them if you have access to home AC power, a generator, or an portable power station. I've used them both with all of those power sources and they work great. A 1200w portable power station, and those fans were fantastic for a couple nights of Rustic Tent camping.
It's also worth mentioning that I own about 15 different Ryobi 18v Tools and don't own one Ryobi 18v Battery, I just use a $25 Dewalt 20v to Ryobi 18v Battery Adapter and use all my Dewalt batteries to power the Ryobi stuff. So unless your excuse is "absolutely no battery tool ecosystems at all", you could just buy a battery adapter and make most major brand 18v -20v tools work with almost any other brand batteries you have on hand. If you have no existing cordless tools, I feel for you. A cordless drill and 1/4" hex impact almost seem like necessities in the year 2026 for anyone that doesn't still live with their parents. But if you absolutely have never fixed anything or put anything together that would've been way faster with power tools than doing it the Amish way, and you just really need a cordless fan, I suppose this deal might suit you. But I still think it's about $25 too expensive at the price of $50, for what you're getting.

Although you have to admit "BougeRV" is an impressive branding improvement over the usual "TYRJFGH" or "MANNKOK" nonsense

Hmm..a newer item on Amazon with a ton of Vine 'unbiased' reviews and staff reminding you over and over that it's still available. What could go wrong?!
Also if you're foolish enough to install an app (for a fan, no less) from some random ass no-name Chinese company, you deserve to have your data snatched.
Helen Keller could see the writing on the wall on this one..

I don't think the average American cares about app security, let alone privacy any more.
Take a gander at any of the T+C at the average chain app, and all the data and info that they collect is incredible.
China does take it to a whole new level though.

No CFM rating means this is likely a huge pile of garbage. Buyer beware.

First of all... I BELIEVE in aliens. So don't talk to me about Mars. But I am more about the Alpha Centauri System personally. Now... do I have to give you a lesson on how to fold space? You have NO CLUE what is out of our reach. So you used the words... within minutes... so I will assume you mean TWO MINUTES. TELL ME OF ONE PHONE THAT CHARGES FROM ZERO TO 100 IN TWO MINUTES.Look, I understand you like to exaggerate or lie... OK, AND I am calling you out. OH... and here are some TRUE FACTS... If your Chevy Bolt battery is kaput and near 0% charge, a full charge will take about 60 hours on a standard 120V outlet, 7 to 9 hours on a 240V Level 2 home charger, and just over 1 hour (10% to 80%) on a DC Fast Charger.
If the Chevy Bolt battery is kaput, it's never going to get a full charge, no matter how long you plug it in or what charger you use.

Is 5hr recharging considered fast charging?
If it runs for 33hours I would assume that's fast
