In industry terms:
- "Fast charging" is defined by the use of an 18 to 30 watt capable power delivery.
- "Ultra fast charging" is defined by the use of 60 to 100+ watt capable power delivery.
- "Standard charging" is defined by the use of 10 to 12 watt capable power delivery.
Then the actual real world time then depends on the size of the battery you are charging.
This one is rated at 20000 mAh. So at the 18 to 30 watt rate, that should take about 5~7 hours.
To give some context, an iPhone 17 pro max's battery is 5,088 mAh. That's why it's "fast charging" is so much quicker. At about 1/4 the battery size, you would expect it to charge at 1/4 the time
Community Reviews
BougeRV's rechargeable camping fan stands out as a compact, quiet fan with a built in 20,000mAh battery, app control, and a light, making it useful for camping, hotels, travel, and power outages. Runtime is the main strength, with reports of lasting about a day on low or around two nights at level 2, while charging times around two to five hours are described as reasonable for an 18W input. The main knocks are price and size, since $50 feels high versus battery tool fans or cheaper alternatives, and some wish for stronger airflow or clearer CFM specs. It looks most appealing if portability and battery life matter more than raw power.
Common Questions (4)
The 18W charging spec is consistent with roughly 5 hours for a 20,000mAh battery, and that timing is described as acceptable. One report says it charged in about 2 hours with an Apple charger, so actual time can vary with the charger used.
Several comments say the fan feels overpriced for a small portable model and would be a better buy around $25-$35. The main alternatives mentioned are battery-tool fans like Milwaukee, DeWalt, or Ryobi, which can be cheaper or use swappable batteries.
Runtime is reported around 33 hours on low and about 5.5 hours at max speed. Real-world use can be much shorter or longer depending on speed setting, with one report of about 8 hours on level 2 and another of nearly a full day on a charge.
Yes. 18W fits a common USB fast-charging definition, since standard USB charging is around 5W and 18-30W is typically considered fast. The label is relative, but the fan's 18W input is in that range.
