The cheap level you shared is fine for homeowners. As a pro, the billet cut levels are far more durable and maintain their accuracy far longer than a cheaper assembled level. On the jobsite, it is common to be working in a dark or dimly littlest area. A backlit level like this makes the bubble easier to see. An led flashlight can put a glare that make the vials harder to see.

Many thanks for the explanation! I've found the level app on my phone to be completely sufficient for occasional home use. I wonder why SD is constantly shilling Klein tools, especially the unusual, special-purpose, and infrequently used ones?

It seems like the normal Klein tools don't go on sale as much as these more esoteric tools

If you bend pipe, erect steel, or mount cabinets, it's pretty handy. It's my favorite torpedo at work. It's pretty good for welding but you have to be careful to not overheat it. They stand up to bouncing around in a work truck drawer. The magnet is handy for cleaning up metal chips. Klein is made for comms, electrical, and construction.
The specialty tools probably don't have as much of a market so a sale helps when there is an overstock

The times I needed I needed the lighted vials are few but it definitely came in clutch when I needed them.
