Posted a day ago and no comments??? I guess this is not a good deal?
From my research so far this is a good printer, not without occasional issues, but good multi color system with drying included. This is currently also an attractive price. That being said another commenter pointed out that atm a ton of printers from multiple brands are on sale. I can't quite justify jumping in yet, but if you've been on the fence read up and make a choice maybe sooner rather than later, because the prices on this and others are pretty good right now.
This is probably a good deal if you have a specific need. As an open frame printer this isn't ideal for advanced materials. The larger print bed vs something like the FF AD5X is nice but not a game changer. 7 vs 4 materials may be nice if you plan to use them but otherwise it doesn't really add an extra capability. At the same time if you really need the extra colors, size etc is it better to spend a bit more. If you are just starting out I think the AD5X is easier to recommend at about half the price.
I'm very confused. Why would anyone buy this amateur looking befslinger when there is a :
anycubic kobra combo s1
enclosed for more filament selection, less tab space occupying and cleaner look for almost same price or slightly more?
Honest question.
I much prefer the Kobra X over the S1. I've had 2 S1 printers one worked great for 600-ish hours and one had bed issues from the jump. Warped beds have been a common issue with the S1 models. I bought the metal carriage plate and it's still off. On the other hand the Kobra X has been a workhorse; perfect first layer, minimal purge waste, multi-material prints and so on. Sure it's a bedslinger but it's a damn good bedslinger.
If I were to pick a core xy printer I'd personally go for the bambulab P2S or P1s. You're going to get a better and more reliable printer in my experience.
