Based on my experience, WORKPRO's advertised warranty should not be treated as a meaningful replacement warranty. Buy only if the price makes sense without warranty support.

I purchased a set of WORKPRO flex-head ratcheting wrenches from this seller less than a year ago. They are refusing to replace my faulty 3/8" wrench of this same style, just in the polished chrome finish. The ratcheting mechanism does not ratchet.

Their response was:
"The shipping cost to the USA is very high, so we are not able to send the 3/8 wrench, sorry for the inconvenience."

I originally offered them a chance to resolve it with a partial refund instead, but they would not refund enough to buy a comparable replacement wrench locally.

The frustrating part is that when I contacted WORKPRO support, they forwarded me to a @greatstartools.com email address. From what I understand, GreatStar is WORKPRO's parent company and was also the seller in my case. Nothing in WORKPRO's warranty says international shipping cost is a restriction on replacement.

It has been over 10 days of a single email response from them per day, basically repeating themselves in each one and not honoring what is on their site.
To be fair, the metric sizes I have used a lot have had no issues.

As with anything, YMMV, but based on this experience, I personally have to assume anything I buy with WORKPRO written on it will not actually be warrantied.

Also, the Amazon ASIN is B06ZY3DG6P . The above link is broken.

Thanks for pointing out the broken link — I've corrected it.

"Sorry, it's expensive to ship the USA. We already shipped you the warranty for free, and now you want a wrench too. Regretfully, yours..."

I have the larger chrome set of these that comes with a hard case and they are really good for the price. The ratcheting mechanism actually handled breaking loose my brake caliper bolt torqued to 40 ft lbs.

Unfortunately not at the same price. They have metric here for ~$28.76 after coupon [aliexpress.us].

Uhhhh, you know there's an orange dude farking around with world economics at his whim right?
You'll take any excuse to yell OMB eh? I'm no stan but I don't think there was a 8000% tariff on warranty replacement flex-head wrenches in the latest round of stupidity.

Being serious... This is a warranty replacement - they have to ship them to the buyer in the first place, at the sale price. Clearly there exists means to get them to buyers in the US and profit from the sale. The excuse that shipping prohibits warranty coverage is nonsense.

However I'll poke two holes: 1) workpro can charge shipping for the replacement which is fairly common 2) the ask to refund an amount to buy a single-unit replacement is unreasonable and nothing in the warranty implies that right. One could expect 1/8th of the set price refunded if 1 of 8 wrenches fails.

Also for 19 bucks what magic are we expecting? Just sayin, unless they're total trash that breaks on first use it's $2.38 a wrench. I'm in for a set and a backup.

I suggest you to reach out to e-commerce platform instead, like Aliexpress or Amazon. In my experience, platform involvement would expedite the resolution.
