I've checked on the games a few times since then and unless they just relaunched the promotion in the past few days it's been dead for a few weeks now. I will try and check again soon but I have to wonder if the OP simply saw some obsolete shelf tags that are no longer accurate or relevant. When they first ran the promo I saw shelf tags that said it was going to last awhile but they nixed it early and changed the promo to only $10 off each game. One store near me neglected to change the shelf tags though.

Makes sense. Staples is very much a wild west shopping experience at this point. Some of the ones by me have "bin wins." They clearly bought pallet returns from Amazon and are selling those.

I feel like there were only a handful of Staples stores with "Bin Wins" a few months ago. When I visited one, the items were lackluster and not worth the prices. It felt like dumpster diving for trash items. To be fair, it's possible all the "good" items were purchased before I got there.

I just checked and they seem to have expanded the initiative to 100+ Staples stores. So I have to assume this is profitable for the company somehow.

I took a picture with my iPhone and tried to add it in the post - but I guess the mods removed it?

There was not a ton of stock - that's for sure. They were selling a total of like 8 unique games, and most of them were on sale. 1-4 copies of each available. There were a few that were not on sale like Mario Kart World and Legends A-Z.

Just scanned the games and they are only $10 off like I mentioned earlier. Except for Mario Kart World which was still full price.

edit: the shelf tags also reflected this and were printed on 5/17, though I didn't rely on those & actually scanned the games to price check. confirmed this at 2 different locations

Online retailers ate a lot of their business. They're holding on via their print service, shipping service, and last-minute emergency office supplies. They'd probably file for bankruptcy if a printer company came along with reliable products and low prices, and everyone bought that company's printer.

Yes it was real I got 4 games from the sale. Had to go to 3 stores to get them. Each store said they only got 2 copy of each game for the sale , so it was a crapshoot but they were all withing 20 minutes of each other
