They keep hounding me to get/upgrade to a business account but I don't buy much business stuff and I'm afraid there are 'gotchas'. Is it worth it? Is there a catch?

I've never had any gotchas with my account. I'm honestly not sure the benefits of a business account aside from a better interface to buy 30x of an item

Thanks. They keep telling me I would save money with a business account too... are you aware of any special discounts you get because you have a business account that you wouldn't get otherwise?

It depends on the item, sometimes it may be cheaper with a business account sometimes not. I do notice that if there is a S&S coupon on an item, I can order it on my main prime account, and then order again with the same discount on my business account. I also noticed that sometimes there are business account "price mistakes". Last year I got a few 3D printers that were $500-$700 MSRP for $150 on my business account, sold the others to pay for the one that I kept so I essentially got a free 3d printer out of it! I do think I have the business prime duo plan, which gives your business account free prime if you have prime on your main amazon account. Does that qualify for this bonus? I am not sure. I am still a little confused on the business prime and the normal prime and setting up household accounts and connecting my 2 accounts.

I thought the same, but so far, only benefits. It gives me a second account to use if there's a particularly good deal that can only be used once, and also it gave me an offer for the Amazon Business credit card, with came with a $250 gift card.

seems there is a trial for business prime for $10 first month. so with that then this max discount becomes $40. might be worth it if you cancel after first month?
